5 Fun 4th of July Games for the Whole Family
The Fourth of July is a great time to get your whole family involved in some outdoor games! Even if you’re just having a little get together with family and friends, plan a couple of games to play while you wait for the fireworks to begin. From a water balloon toss to a dessert making contest, there are many Fourth of July themed games you and your family can enjoy.
Water Balloon Toss
Water Balloon Toss is a fun game to help you stay cool during your 4th of July party. It’s a game where everyone can join – pair up in teams of two, then toss the water balloon back and forth to your partner, but increase the distance between you and your partner each time. Last team standing with their water balloon intact gets a prize.
Mini Flag Hunt
Just like an easter egg hunt, grab a few mini flags and hide them. Whoever finds the most flags wins. You can also mark one special flag – and whoever finds it wins a big prize.
Red White and Blue Tie Dye Shirts
Ask your party guests to bring a plain white t-shirt. Provide rubber bands to create the design and set up buckets of water with the red and blue dye. Hang to dry and see who makes the coolest tie dye shirt.
4th of July Themed Dessert Contest
Ask your guests to participate in a 4th of July Themed Dessert Contest. Homemade desserts only! Contestants bring their dessert the day of your 4th of July party . Everyone casts their vote after all the desserts have been eaten. Make sure nobody votes for their own dessert!
Baseball or Softball Game
You can’t go wrong with a classic baseball or softball game with the whole family. If you don’t have a big enough yard, walk to your local park, invite the neighbors, and enjoy a ball game before the fireworks.
